CAFOD: Is the Catholic Agency for Overseas Development who work in over 165 countries. It was founded in 1962 and is committed to promoting human development and social justice. They provide long term aid to equip people with the skills, tools and opportunities to live with dignity. Cafod face tough challenges: poverty, conflict, climate change and inequality.

In 2015, Pope Francis in his encyclical letter Laudate Si: 'care for our common home' called us to 'Live Simply so that others may simply live'. ‘There is an urgent need for radical change in our conduct and the ill-considered exploitation of nature..we are called to: 'Live simply and sustainably in solidarity with the poor'.
Following on from the success of our Reverse Advent Calendar, during the Advent season and the great generosity of all who responded, the LiveSimply group would like to provide further ideas; roughly on a monthly(ish) basis.
They would like to begin their suggestions with the 6Rs of Sustainability.
