Since the end of October 2016 our parish RCIA / Journey in Faith group and the parish community have been accompanying, supporting and praying for Rod MacBain in his preparation for being received into full Communion with the Church at Easter this year.

  It was therefore with great joy that we were able to celebrate Rod’s Baptism, Confirmation and First Holy Communion at the Easter Vigil on 15th April. He has entered into the preparation with enthusiasm and commitment and has found a great welcome and support in the parish.

   We carry on with our meetings until Pentecost, and during this time Rod will be expanding and deepening his knowledge of the Catholic faith.  He and his wife and baby son, who was baptised here last year, live locally, and we look forward to their continued involvement in the parish.
