The roof works are well underway currently with a lot of the leadwork and repairs to the central valley complete. The contractors have re-slated the North Nave and South Aisle Roof planes, apart from the final few courses which are being left off so they can be tied into the ridge detail. The North Aisle is currently being re-slated and should be complete by

the end of w/c 24th October 2016. The South Nave has been stripped and felted, however the slates are in a poor condition and the majority will require replacing. Despite the weather, the contractor is confident that works will be on programme for a completion of 19th December 2016. Removal of the scaffolding should start after the 9th December as the contractors work their way down the Church installing the rain water down pipes.
